Stage Voice: Hi Marvelous, this is Stage Voice. Kindly tell us your full name.

Marvelous: My name is Akinyemi Marvelous Olajumoke.

Stage Voice: It's nice having you here Marvelous.

Stage Voice: Kindly tell us your state or origin and where you currently reside?

Marvelous: Thank you. I’m from Ondo state and I stay in ogun state

Stage Voice: That's awesome. So what position do you occupy in DASA?

Marvelous: I’m the welfare manager of the Association

Stage Voice: That's great. So why did you go for it? Was there anything you wanted to change?

Marvelous: Yes thank you. I went for this post because I really love taking care of people in the little way  I can, and  checking up on people and it won’t look like I’m doing too much. And  what I wanted to change is  making sure at least 80% percent of the initiates were able to get their health center card during their registration period and no coordinator would make it feel like they are wasting their time getting it. With God’s grace I was able to accomplish it.

Stage Voice: 80% is a large number. That's great. 

Marvelous: Yes. The 20% is because of those that resumed late and after the initiation process.

Stage Voice: So being the welfare director, how has this position been for you?

Stage Voice: Ohh I got that

Marvelous: It was tasking at first because I couldn’t get a strong team that could help throughout the initiation process but with 2 people which are sulu mariam and sage , I was able to pull through. I enjoyed every bit of it later because I was able to build a connection between me and the part 1 students majorly and other people In other levels. I must say I really enjoyed been the welfare manager of this association

Stage Voice: 🎉🎉🎉 That's great. How is your relationship with other excos? Lucky to be with or it's been hell?

Marvelous: Eiii lucky to be oo, I should thank God for giving me the best team to work with

Stage Voice: That's awesome. How is your relationship with other DSRC? Any fight occurred?

Marvelous: No, I haven’t had an issue with anyone and I hope I don’t till I finish the administration.

Stage Voice: That's fine. How is your relationship with the lecturers as well?

Marvelous: Very good I must say.

Stage Voice: Alright.

Marvelous: Yes.

Stage Voice: What are the current challenges the current administration is facing that DASAITES do not know? Esp pertaining to your office?

Marvelous: The only challenge the office is facing is shortage of funds to fill  the first aid bag after some productions have been done this semester. So to DASAites, it looks like the welfare isn’t capable, No o it’s just the way things are.

Stage Voice: Hmmmm. And that's not the case..

Stage Voice: I can really relate with that. So do you have any side hustle apart from being a student?

Marvelous: None for now

Stage Voice: Alright

Marvelous: Yes

Stage Voice: So let's leave work for now. Are you in a relationship?

Marvelous: No, just on my own for now.

Stage Voice: Alright. So what's your thought on LGBTQ? Is it something the law should approve of in Nigeria?

Marvelous: Ahhh😂😂, what’s my own ? Stage Voice: 🤣 Well I feel it shouldn’t be legalized, but someone said the money is going to do something in Nigeria... So let's leave it for the government to decide. 

Check this article. It stated that Tinubu signed a 150 billion dollar Samoa deal and ignored lgbt clauses.

Stage Voice: I get you now

Stage Voice: Alright.

Marvelous: It’s a big money actually.

Stage Voice: But that would cause a lot of harm to the society.

Marvelous: Yes but even with legalizing some people are practicing it already.

Stage Voice: Do you feel anybody caught doing this should be arrested?

Marvelous: Since it’s not legalized they should be

Stage Voice: Alright

Marvelous: Yes

Stage Voice: So what advice do you have for the incoming set of executives?

Marvelous: To the incomings ... work in  unity and help each other when needed, a tree can’t make a forest, you need each other’s help . And to the incoming welfare manager... create the love between you and the initiates, make sure you are someone they can come to anytime , any day

Stage Voice: Thank you very much. And so your shout goes to who?

Stage Voice : Hi, How are you doing? Janet : Been good jare thanks Stage Voice : Great, how has your experience been as a fresher of Dramatic Arts? Janet : It has been fun, tedious and stressful. At first, I didn't like the way things were but later on I fell in love with the stress. I really love the initiation part, it wasn't easy but it really grinded me. So far Sha I'm loving it. Stage Voice : What was your best part of the initiation process? Janet : The overnights 🥰🥰🥰. For our set, overnight rehearsals weren't allowed but the coordinators had to do it secretly just for us to catch up on things and because of that the coordinators were kinda nice and very playful during this overnight rehearsals that we do.
