DASA EXECUTIVE OF THE WEEK (FEMALE)

Stage Voice: Hi I am from Stage Voice. Can we get to know you, please?

Olamide: Good evening

Stage Voice: Hi this is Stage Voice. It's nice having you here. Kindly tell us your full name

Olamide: It is lovely to be here. My name is OLATUNJI Olamide Oluwafikemi

Stage Voice: It's nice having you here, Olamide. Kindly tell us your state or origin and where you currently reside?

Olamide: I am from Oyo State Ibadan to be precise and I also live in Ibadan.

Stage Voice: Wow that's awesome. So what position do you occupy in DASA?

Olamide: I am presently the business manager of this awesome association.

Stage Voice: That's great. So why did you go for it? Was there anything you wanted to change?

Olamide: Yes I noticed the Association lacked certain exposure and we have lot of things to offer so that why I run for the position. And I believe my administration has been able to put DASA on the map

Stage Voice: Alright that's fine. How is your relationship with other excos? Lucky to be with or it's been hell?

Olamide: Lucky to be with definitely. I am happy and grateful to be part of team VALOR FORTIS. My relationship with them is awesome and I have been able to learn and develop with them.

Stage Voice: Valor Fortis to the world 🎉🎉🎉 That's great. How is your relationship with other DSRC? Any fight occured?

Olamide: No nothing like that. DSRC like accountability and transparency and I believe I have been very accountable and transparent in my tenure

Stage Voice: Alright. How is your relationship with the lecturers as well?

Olamide: Like how lecturers and students relationship should be. I respect them and they pass me. No personal relationship there.

Stage Voice: Alright. What are the current challenges the current administration is facing that DASAITES do not know? Esp pertaining to your office

Olamide: Lack of funds. There are visions and plans but the lack of funds are the reason why those plans can’t be executed. The percentage the department collects on our ticket earnings is really a challenge

Stage Voice: And how do you think we can solve this problem?

Olamide: DASAITES should pay their dues. It will really go a long way.

Stage Voice: Alright and what about the sharing formula?

Olamide: I don't get

Stage Voice: The amount the department collects.

Olamide: 30 percent + chair money?

Stage Voice: Yes. How do you think it should be shared that will favour us?

Olamide: I honestly don’t feel we should pay anything it should be a privilege we received as drama students. But as said in the last colloquium the department has to function and it functions on money made

Stage Voice: Alright thank you. So hmm hmm hmmm. Are you in a relationship?

Olamide: Yes I have 16 boyfriends

Stage Voice: Ahhhhh

Olamide: 😂😂 Just kidding

Stage Voice: 😭 So seriously, are you in relationship??

Olamide: Yea with Jesus Christ

Next question please

Stage Voice: Make of all you sha dey hide. So a quick one…. Why do you think some students are not politically conscious? Like have political apathy?

Olamide: Well a lot of people are here in school to learn and just that which is the most important thing. They are afraid that active participation in politics may affect their grades, which is the major reason for apathy. But they need to know school is more than just that.

Stage Voice: Hmmm. Some are afraid it will affect their grades. That's thoughtful.

Stage Voice: What advice do you have for the incoming set of excos, and especially your successor?

Olamide: Don’t be scared and think about others. This is just the beginning of your journey as a leader use this opportunity to learn and unlearn. Don’t be bothered by the backlash because they will come

People will say really mean and untrue things and try to bring you down but stand strong and stay unbothered.

To my successor, be accountable trust me it will go a long way and don’t be scared to ask questions or ask for help

Stage Voice: Alright thank you so much. And your last shout-out goes to who?

Olamide: Team valor fortis to the world

And also my very good and supportive friends. I love you guys xoxo
