DASA EXECUTIVE OF THE WEEK - FEMALE

Stage Voice: Hello I am from Stage Voice, can you please tell us your name?

Juliet: Hi. I’m Juliet

Stage Voice: Please tell us where you are from and where you currently reside?

Juliet: I’m from Ondo state and I reside in Ibadan & Lagos.

Stage Voice: That's cool. Is there any position you occupied in DASA?

Juliet: Yes. Current Director of Socials😎

Stage Voice: Our very own DOS πŸ₯³πŸ₯³

Juliet: Big purrr

Stage Voice: So why did you go for it? Is there anything you wanted to change?

Juliet: I’m naturally a social person and I love to see people have fun. I wanted to change the social life in the department.. I figured out that theatre students do not have enough time for their social life… though it’s not been easy can’t lie.

Stage Voice: That's a valid reason. Rehearsals don choke our life.

Juliet: I know right

Stage Voice: So being the social director, how has this position been for you?

Juliet: Fun and challenging I’d say

Stage Voice: So how is your relationship with other excos? Fun or it's been hell?

Juliet: Really fun. I have nothing to worry about to be honest. I do my thing and face my frontπŸ˜‚

Stage Voice: Focus focus. How is your relationship with the DSRC? Any fight occurred?

Juliet: Not at all

Stage Voice: How is your relationship with the lecturers as well?

Juliet: Not bad id say

Stage Voice: What are the current challenges the administration is facing, that the whole of DASA does not know? Especially the ones pertaining to your office.

Juliet: Insufficient funds and lack of support in a nutshell

Stage Voice: Can you please expatiate?

Juliet: It is understandable that things are difficult now. If there were enough funds, there are some social gatherings that I'd love to pull up irrespective of “our” busy schedule that would be beneficial.

Lack of support comes from both the lecturers and DASAITES.  I won’t love to say much about the lecturers.. I’d tell you even if an event is free, the turn ups are always very low that people from other departments enjoy what’s planned than DASAites (the main people the event was planned for).

Stage Voice: Please, let's turn up for any event organized by the DOS. The essence of this gathering is to foster unity and ease off the stress of rehearsals. Please ooo.

Stage Voice: So do you have any side hustle apart from being a student?

Juliet: Yes I do. I’m a Forex trader; networking manager; fashion stylist; an entertainer; project manager and a model.

Stage Voice: It's plenty plenty ooooo. Only you. Anyway, well done... All these are multiple stream of income.

Juliet: Come let’s make money together

Stage Voice: Oya now.

Stage Voice: So let's even leave work now, are you currently in a relationship?

Juliet: No I’m not.

Stage Voice: So anybody interested in you can shoot their shot?

Juliet: Shoot your shot in the right way

Stage Voice: Hmmmm "in the right way"... Money matters. Oya now..

Stage Voice: So do you think LGBTQ should be legalized in Nigeria?

Juliet: Ewww. No. It shouldn’t.

Stage Voice: Alright. So any advice for the current part 1 students?

Juliet: Pray and communicate to God irrespective (no one is perfect and God doesn’t judge), study well when you can, work smart, never stop exploring, cherish the way you are, have a plan, write your plans and work towards achieving it.. you might not achieve all at a time but it’s a gradual process and lastly, stay humble.

Stage Voice: Thank you so much. Lastly, who do you want to give your shout-out to?

Juliet: Shout out to team Valor fortis and to all DASAITES. Shout out to Taiwo Muhiz OladipupoπŸ˜‚

Stage Voice: Thank youuuu
