DASAITE OF THE WEEK - FEMALE
Timijoe: Fine thank you, And you?
Stage Voice: How has your experience been in dramatic arts?
Timijoe: Well, honestly? It's been trying but to a large extent worthwhile. As compared to when I first came into the department, I've grown a great deal. In maturity, experience and skill set. I think so far it's been transforming.
Stage Voice: This is very amazing, Talking about skill, can you tell us about your skills?
Timijoe: I'm a musical artist and dancer. I draw, I paint, I write songs, novels and poems. I also act. I recently started a brand with Timijoe as my brand name and stage name. And the department has been a place for growth for me as participating in projects has helped me sharpen my skills especially in music and dancing. For example I was a composer for Dare Jude's final year project a musical adaptation of IF by Ola Rotimi and this year I'm the music director for the adaptation of Coming to America. So I would say that I've grown to a large extent.
Stage Voice: Wow , this is very inspiring, You are a woman of many abilities. What can be described as your best moment in pit theatre?
Timijoe: For me, I've had more than one best moment in pit theatre. The best moment for me is taking a bow after staging a play knowing full well that the applause was well earned.
Stage Voice: Great, There is just one joy that fills your heart when you are done with a production. What has the entertainment industry been for you ?
Timijoe: The entertainment industry has been quite eye opening for me. Most of the time it feels like a mirage however I know I'll get where I want to be. The dream is bigger than the current reality so I hope the industry is ready when I come through the door cause I'm real unhinged.
Stage Voice: The industry will be ready to receive you with open armsπ€, Do you plan on going into the entertainment industry fully in terms of music and dance?
Timijoe: Yes, I do. The goal is to be known world wide. Music and dance is what I'm best at and I am good at what I do if I do say so myself. I see myself going on tour in the next 5 years on a grand scale.
Stage Voice: And you will, Do you have any personal song you have composed?
Timijoe: Yes I do. I have a couple available on music platforms.e.g. Audiomac, Spotify, Boomplay, YouTube.e.t.c. The first is titled "Remind Me". And the second is "Suddenly". I've also been featured on a couple songs, for example: 223s and she devil.e.t.c
Stage Voice: Pls go and stream these lovely songs. Oh, they are available on the platform listed. At the beginning of our interview, you said you love painting and drawing. Did you learn those skills?
Timijoe: Not officially or as a course. I've just always practiced till I get results.
Stage Voice: Great, Apart from your music career, Do you have any business you are into?
Timijoe: Yes, I'm a songwriter and I write for right about any genre of music. I also offer vocal back services and film scoring, script scoring, theme songs, ads and jingles services.
Stage Voice: These are excellent works; well done . Do you have in mind what you love to major in your final year?
Timijoe: Definitely Dance! π. If there was music on dramatic arts I definitely would go for that but dance will suffice.
Stage Voice: Greatπ. How have you been able to juggle your music career and businesses with your academic life?
Timijoe: It's been tough. Sometimes down right impossible especially when there a lot of productions going on stage one at a time and I find my self in about 5-6 at a time, then adding that to classes and rehearsals?! Sometimes I have to put a hold on work How there's a limit to how long I can I do that for. It's not easy honestly and sometimes you have to pick one as a priority
Stage Voice: True, the Lord is your strength, Do you have that thing you want to achieve in your line of career that you think it is too big to achieve ?
Timijoe: No, I don't see anything as too big to achieve. I believe that I'll naturally come to achieve all I want to. All in good time.
Stage Voice: That is the spirit. It was so loving and great having you , Thank you so much π and Bye π
Timijoe: Thank you for your time and patience also πππ½
