DASA ENTREPRENEUR OF THE WEEK – MALE
Stage Voice: Hello Samuel. How are you doing?
Psalmiz: Hi, I am doing great. How about you?
Stage Voice: Well, I am doing well
Psalmiz: I can see that
Stage Voice: I have heard people call you different names from Sam to psalmiz to Samuel. Which do you go by?
Psalmiz: Okay. The birth name is Samuel. I got the name Psalmiz a couple of years back in church. I sing. So it’s like (as they say) you worship like David, knowing how to bribe God. So the name Psalmiz was birthed.
Stage Voice: Alright… so can you please introduce yourself?
Psalmiz: Okay. Well, I am Adebayo Samuel Oluwapelumi, A student of Obafemi Awolowo University. An actor, Model and by God’s grace, I own the WhiteAngel Brand.
Stage Voice: Can you tell me more about your brand? What kind of brand?
Psalmiz: Okay umm. The WhiteAngel Brand is what I would call a multi-venture. Though I am yet to fully dive in to the other aspects. Right now, I’m still on the Automobiles.
Stage Voice: I heard once that you sell cars *side eye*
Psalmiz: I still do though 😂 Whiteangel Autos is the biggest and current of the brand.
Stage Voice : *Screams in oppression* So if I want to get a car tomorrow I know who to contact.
Psalmiz: I am your best plug yet. 😉
Stage Voice: Yes
Stage Voice: I have a question though?
Psalmiz: Okay. Please go ahead
Stage Voice: What motivates you to venture into this line of business? Especially as a student I can’t imagine how hectic that will be.
Psalmiz: Well, as a kid, I have always been a lover of automobiles. Then growing up, I became more like a consultant for people who knows how much I loved cars, mostly my uncles. Like what brand of car would suit their budget; analysis and comparisons of car specifications. Then it dawned on me, why not delve deeper into it. Then I became a bridged between those who needs cars and those who sell.
After giving my honest opinion about the car brand and specs, I do the link up and from there, I decided to start making a name for myself and build my own brand therein
Psalmiz: It’s not as hectic as you think it will be though. Compared to working as an actor
Stage Voice: Wow!! You passion resonates through your words.
Psalmiz: You flatter me
Stage Voice : I don’t know a lot about automobiles but I can attest to life as an actor.
Psalmiz: That life!!! It is well.
Stage Voice : Can you tell me about the challenges you face in your days of working? Clients complaints, difficult buyers. Tell me what life is like
Psalmiz: Umm, what I would say is that before a car is being put up for sales, it’s being tested so our clients have no complaints, and even they test it to see. The only seeming challenge is the pricing.
Most clients don’t want to know what the market says, they just assume that cars are of a particular price so that’s how much they want.
Some weeks back for example, a client messaged me and was like she wants to buy a Corolla 2010 for 1.8m
Even with me trying to reason with her. She remained adamant, so issues like that, we just have to calm down. But asides that, we bless God
Stage Voice: Since your knowledge of cars is vast, can I ask how much I need to buy a G Wagon G63?
Stage Voice : I want to start saving up 🌚
Psalmiz: The last time I checked, if you raise up to 219m right now, based on the current market price, then you should be able to get it.
Stage Voice : Let the poor breatheee. In 5 years time can I still get it at this price?
Psalmiz: Certainly not 😂
Psalmiz: But whatever your budget it. You can get something provided you have enough budget.
Stage Voice : I hear you. White Angel automobile. I am adding a new name to your numerous names.
*Pressure*
Psalmiz: lol 😂
Stage Voice: I have another question.
Psalmiz: Ok please go ahead.
Stage Voice: There is a current trend on Twitter about why people don’t like Christians and most of the emphasis have been on their attitude and inability to admit their wrongs. What do you have to say about that? Have you had any experience yourself?
Psalmiz: Well, I am a Christian. But also I’m human, what you may see as right may be wrong to me. We all have different approaches to things and situations. Our understanding of things is what we need.
What I can say is that our religion has overshadowed and taken over our spirituality. We just claim to be Christians, we don’t have the intricate knowledge of what it means to be one
Stage Voice : Understanding is the key
Stage Voice: It is a controversial topic so there will surely be a lot of opinions.
Stage Voice: Last question for the day. What are your thoughts on LGBTQ being legal in Nigeria?
Psalmiz: Haaaa. This one choke ooo
Stage Voice : Answer ooo
Psalmiz: Anyways the Bible says God created humans: male and female he created them. Whatever your sexuality is, I don’t judge. But sha keep your sexuality to yourself oo. Na me sabi my sexuality,
If they like, legalize it, in asmuch as they aren’t affecting me, and they aren’t saying I should be one at all cost.
We are a people of morals and we know that it’s morally wrong but it is said that if you don’t turn with the tide, the tide will turn on you. Let them just do what they feel is right
Stage Voice : I appreciate the way you started with the Bible. Thank you very much for that insightful response
Psalmiz: You’re welcome
Stage Voice : That will be the end of our interview. It was a pleasure having you
Psalmiz: Thank you so much for having me
Psalmiz: Pleasure is all mine
