DASA FYB OF THE WEEK
Stage Voice: Hello 🙂; I am from stage Voice, Can I get to know you ?
Naomi: Sure! My name is Naomi Usinbaka Oyeleke. I’m from Ekiti state. I’m a model, an actor, and a crochet artist.
Stage Voice: Wow, all this just for you. How have you been able to do all of this, with your academic?
Naomi: Sigh! Tough question. It hasn’t been easy honestly. I’ve lost opportunities because of school… sigh. To be honest, I do drop one for one 😂😂. But God has been faithful though.
Stage Voice: True; sometimes we have to go for priority 😊, what was or is the most stressful level for you?
Naomi: 300 level o 😭😭😂. It drained me.
Stage Voice: Pele 😂, What was the most stressful part of it
Naomi: It has to be 307 😭😭😭😩😩. I got tired. The spending and practicals…. Sigh! To think my fashion designer disappointed the night of the performance 😭😩😩😂. Thank God for my friends, I would have panicked.
Stage Voice: Hmm, the type of friends you have are important 🤔, so how has it been since you started this new session, and as a final year student?
Naomi: Yeahh… my friends are SUPER AMAZING. Well the new session has been challenging and I somewhat love it. I’ve been learning, trying out new things, etc. I just want explore, meet people, learn and create.
Stage Voice: In the spirit of learning new things; what is your major, and why did you choose it?
Naomi: I’m an acting major. Apart from the fact that I’ve always wanted to be an actress, choosing ‘acting’ as my major is more like a push from my comfort zone, a challenge and something to wake my ‘lazy ass’ up. So yeah!
Stage Voice: Challenges make us better 😌 ; what is that role you were given in a play, that was challenging for you? 🤔
Naomi: Sighhhhhhhh…. It is definitely playing ‘DAMILOLA’. I was sad then o, I had to become ‘sadder’. I had to dig up old skeletons just to be depressed. I willing entered into depression for this role 😂. I was just in part 1 o.
Stage Voice: Was it your class project or your initiation play?
Naomi: No. The play was to raise funds for NUTAF.
Stage Voice: Ooh, do you have a mentor or someone you look up to that inspires you in the Nollywood industry?
Naomi: Not really… well I think Sharon Ooja because she’s a fine woman.
Stage Voice: You really have her body ☺️😊. Do you plan on being a screen actor or a Stage Actor?
Naomi: Well it depends on God’s plans over my life.
Stage Voice: True, yeah, but what is your plan after school?
Naomi: Plan? Well I don’t have any plan. I’ve surrendered all to Jesus. But I might attend an acting school though.
Stage Voice: That is good 👍 👌, How have your past weeks as a final year student been.
Naomi: Challenging! That’s all I can say but the joy of the Lord is my strength.
Stage Voice: It is all our strength 💪, what is that thing that drives you to be the best of yourself?
Naomi: Family and friends.
Stage Voice: Very important set of people in our lives; who would you like to give a shout to?
Naomi: Exactly! My friends please. They are very special to me and I love them so much. Also a special shout out to my Onion Cider ❤️. You what? The entire association deserves a shout out 😚😚❤️❤️.
Stage Voice: Awwww 🤗; it was so nice having you.
Naomi: Thank you so much for having me. God bless you
Stage Voice: Enjoy 😉
