DASAITE OF THE WEEK
Stage Voice : Good evening
Chris : Hey Good evening
Stage Voice : I am from Stage Voice. Can we meet you please?
Chris : Oh, Nice to meet you. My name is Christopher Princewill, but a reasonable number of people call me Chris (My Dad's name, and I'm cool with it btw) .
I belong to the Grandezan family. (Part 3)
And as far as I know, I intend to Major in acting. I really don't want to go into details that aren't necessary as pertaining my person, but I'll answer any if you care to know
Stage Voice : Hahaha opor ooo.. So Chris, how has it been with the department since part 1?
Chris : We've been surviving it so far, can't say it's been easy, but in the pain and strife God's been keeping us, 'cause truth be told I can categorically say part one is the only part u get to explore and enjoy, after that? Omo you face the music.
Stage Voice: Hmmm… I get you
Chris : I'm glad you do
Stage Voice : So tell me what is your best part of the theatre???
Chris: Thank God we understand how wide the theatre can be, personally I like engagement, commitments and drills that comes with Acting..it's totally giving. The accolades that come after each bow, exciting for real.
Stage Voice: Oshey Idris Elba in the makingπ
Chris : Walahi no be lie, π
Stage Voice : If I may ask, did you pick Dramatic Arts or it 'chose' you?
Chris : I picked him, sorry I picked her/it
Stage Voice : Haha π.. So let’s talk about you outside the department, is there anything you do and you want people to know about it??
Chris : Ahh many things o, aside acting, cutting and editing videos, I’m a voiceover artist and also a host... But recreationally I'm a painter . Pls don't call me a jack of all trades. π
Stage Voice : With all these and you expect me not to call you jack of all tradeππ
Chris : Omo π be like say sapa nova hold your neck . But joke aside Sha, I Know these things for real.
Stage Voice: Omo ehnπ. Is there anything you wished was different in the department?
Chris : Hnmm, I don't know where you're going with that question, but in my own opinion, I wish we were taken more seriously. The whole idea of theatre is already a hard nut to crack, I mean it's difficult to make a reasonable living out of this profession aside of course one chooses to go into Education which I doubt 70% would like. Lemme make a comparison. Imagine giving us a quality practical experience as the one we'd get in PEFTY, CAP or any of these big film schools. Imagine going for internships in a production set when you're in part 3 as part of the I.T program. We'd definitely be better and confident to compete in the labor market alongside other well cooked thespians. I mean our people are trying, but perfection is not impossible.
Stage Voice : Hmmm.. Definitely did not see this coming but I feel you
Chris : Ikr.. π€
Stage Voice : Wow! Okay ooo. So this out of the blue, but what do you think about the notion, "Boys don't cry"?
Chris : Lol, I've seen that thing before. But it's a theory I don't believe in. Men are supposed to be the stronger ones, but emotionally I can't guarantee that, men do cry.
Stage Voice : Okayyyy. So are you single, searching or taken?
Chris : TAKEN!
Stage Voice: God when πͺ. Who would you like to give a shout out to?
Chris : LMAO... Shout out to my Gees, Mansis. Shout out to Luminous, great work guys . And to the grand canyon, GRANDEZA . I See y'all.
Stage Voice : Awww, shout out to me tooπ. Sadly we've come to the end of your interview. It was nice having you.
Chris : Well done hun. It's a pleasure.
Stage Voice: Thank you
