DASA ENTREPRENEUR OF THE WEEK

Stage Voice: Hi, I am from Stage Voice. Can we get to know you, please?
Juliet: Hello… Im Juliet… Im a model, a fashion stylist, a host and I love to play with the MIC.
Stage Voice: Nice meeting you, Miss. Juliet.
Juliet: Nice meeting you, too.
Stage Voice: So do you mind being our DASA's entrepreneur of the week?
Juliet: Okayyyyyyyy
Stage Voice: Thank you
Stage Voice: So as a fashion designer, what's your brand name?
Juliet: Juls_evolution
Stage Voice: Good. So, with this “choky"  department, how do you balance academics and work?
Juliet: Omoooo e fucking soakkk ooo.  I wont deny the fact that its not easy, but then when its business, its business. And when its school, its school. I try so bad not to let one part be larger than the other.
Stage Voice: Honestly, it's not easy balancing work and school especially in this department.
Juliet: I know right.
Stage Voice: But how have you been doing it? Like share tips on how it has been working for you.
Juliet: Well first and foremost most:
I plan my schedule by making a weekly to-do list.
I prioritize my work by breaking large task into their smaller components
I set goals and deadline for studying as well and at the same time I avoid perfectionism.. Im not really a book person anyways
I dont allow school to stress me ‘cause I dont focus when Im stressed. No pressure.
Stage Voice: Hmmm... These will be helpful to other entrepreneurs like you
Juliet: Lol but they should take their book seriously abeg

Stage Voice: Definitely So why modeling, why fashion designing? What motivated you to start doing them?

Juliet: Well all these started since I was so young.. Motivated by my love for dress up. My family really made it easy for me plus I had people always supporting me which made life sweet then!! If I can remember I started with face modelling in secondary school afterwards fashion designing I almost gave up though. VEEKEE JAMES is someone I look up to anyways and I know Im going places.
Stage Voice: Wow.. So all these started since you were young Sounds nice.
Juliet: Yes o. It was very easy then... but now everybody is basically doing everything
Stage Voice: Alright... Being a fashion designer and a model, have these changed your financial life to some degree?
Juliet: Yes. It has and Im grateful. I wasnt this way when I started. I keep progressing. Ive met a lot of people that are life changers and I know this is just my starting point. Watch out for me.
Stage Voice: We are watching out for you. This is just your starting point.
Juliet: I know right.
Stage Voice: So how has the students in the department contributed to the growth of your business?
Juliet: Well, I just got transferred to this school so I havent really mixed but few people that I know are familiar with the brand already.
Stage Voice: Alright that's fine. Now, with the little time you've used in the department, what do you think students can monetize to fetch them money? Like the job opportunities you know are untapped in the department.
Stage Voice: Like what are things students can do within the department that can fetch them money?
Like what can they monetize?
Juliet: Well I dont know how things work in the department students can fetch money during productions  For example, during productions, as a hairstylist, I can offer my services and make, at least, N300 or more than per head (just saying)
Stage Voice: So enough of the serious talks, who's the small papa behind this your ageless beauty?
Juliet: Na only God Dey always Dey behind ageless beauty now.
Stage Voice So you're saying you're not in relationship for now?
Juliet: I love to keep my personal life private
Stage Voice That's not a problem.
Stage Voice: So what terrible experience have you had concerning your work so it serves as a lesson to others?
Juliet: Id just say as you work hard, work smart no loose guard My terrible experience so far was this time I started to take free jobs and was taken for granted... it was such a terrible experience
Stage Voice: So sorry about that. I hope other entrepreneurs have learnt about this.
Stage Voice: Sadly, we've come to the end of the whole interview. It's nice having you, Miss. Juliet.
Juliet: My pleasure.
