DASAITE OF THE WEEK
Pastor: Yes, let the interview begin
Stage Voice: Alright, please introduce yourself.
Pastor: I am Gbenga Adeboye popularly known as Pastor. I am a final year student
Stage Voice: That's great... So, pastor, kindly tell us more about yourself.
Pastor: I hail from Modakeke Akoraye in Osun State. I am a Christian.
Stage Voice: Alright, that's fine...
Pastor: Thank you
Stage Voice: So as a DASAITE, what was your first impression about the department?
Pastor: Actually I was clueless of what the Department is all about before I was admitted despite the fact that I willingly chose the course. But I found it as a place of fulfillment for me.
Stage Voice: Good to know that... so tell us about what you think about the current initiation process?
Pastor: Thank you... I am very glad with the insightful appointment of coordinators handling various aspects of the initiation programme. I earnestly anticipate to see new innovations and the best play, Osao, dance and Drum ensemble ever in Pit Theatre
Stage Voice: What have you noticed in the department that needs changes?
Pastor: Although the Department is really improving but we need new innovations and upgrade in theatrical productions. We lack discipline and commitment which is one of the bedrock of the theatre. I like our team spirit but we need to be goal-oriented whenever we are in a production.
Stage Voice: Hmmm True words... What about the students' administration? What do you think about it?
Pastor: I really admire the team, they are doing a great and wonderful job. Indeed they are able leaders. I will just beseech the students to be supportive and faithful in performing our responsibility to the association. The administration is doing well and I look forward to more creative development from them.
Pastor: No. Nevertheless, there are several things to work on in the administration. The administration is good and I am very glad it is getting better.
Stage Voice: So enough of the serious talks, what's life outside Pit?
Pastor: Hmm... It has always been a good time for me to cook, eat, read and rest. I enjoy going to church, traveling and attending several seminars.
Stage Voice: That's great, so Pastor, are you part of any production apart from your class projects?
Pastor: No
Stage Voice: Why?
Pastor: I am into more than three productions already not because I am being selective.
Stage Voice: Alright, so what advice do you have for part 1 students?
Pastor: For the sake of those depending on you, never give up! Keep moving no matter what happens! Lastly, shift your focus on the things that matters
Stage Voice: Thank you, pastor. We have come to end of the interview. We are glad to have you here
Pastor DRA: Thank you, sir. It is such a great privilege.
Stage Voice: You're welcome.
