DASAITE OF THE WEEK
Stage Voice: Hi, I am from Stage Voice
Tiolu DRA: Hiii
Stage Voice: Do you mind if we interview you as our DASAITE of the week?
Tiolu: That's cool
Stage Voice: So please introduce yourself.
Tiolu: My name is Tioluwanimi Adeniji. I'm a part 2 student.
What else? [Laughing] I love God, good food and good people.
Stage Voice: That's a very nice name..😅😅
Tiolu: Thank youuuu
It means "I belong to God"
Stage Voice: Lmao Foodie
Tiolu: Yes o 🙈
Stage Voice: That's cool
So as a DASAITE, what was your first impression about the department?
Tiolu: Welll, I was really impressed by the artistry I found in performances I watched and even in the conversations i had.
People are talented!
I felt at home here from the beginning
Stage Voice: That's very good to know, Tioluwanimi.
Is there any way you think the department can improve?
Tiolu: Well, we definitely need basic amenities provided for us like water dispensers, ACTUAL lecture theatres where we can sit to have classes
And monopoly of our own resources like costumes and whatnot.
Stage Voice: It really shows you observant of the things the department lacks. That's great...
So moving on... tell us what you think about the current initiation process?
Tiolu:: Lolll, it's weird. I guess the Initiates aren't so aware of how the necessary the process and so they tend to take it for granted...
From past experience and what I've heard, I know they are being treated very kindly so I see no reason for their lack of discipline. They'll be fine sha, eventually.
Very proud of the people chosen to be their coordinators cause they are good at what they do! The initiates are lucky to have them
Stage Voice:: You no dey chill at all: 😅😅
Tiolu:: No vess
Stage Voice: It's nothing, smiles.: So about the students' administration, what do you think about it?
Tiolu: They seem to be quite capable and very eager to perform their duties. I love the spirit and how passionate they all seem.
New innovations here and there. Love to see it o!
Stage Voice: You seem very observant, what would you change about the administration?
Tiolu: Eh, nothing per say. Haven't really been paying attention to them
Stage Voice: Alright... So enough of these serious talks. What's life outside Pit?
Tiolu: God and content o! For now sha... That's majorly all.
Stage Voice: Hmmm.. So you mean you don't have a life outside Pit theatre?
Tiolu: [Laughing.] I have more of a life outside Pit than in it. I'm not a Pit person per say. It's a part of my life but not a major one.
Stage Voice: It's okayyyy... so are you part of any production apart from your class projects?
Tiolu: Em. Not really...My classmate wants to put up a play but that's really all I'm involved in
Stage Voice:: Why? Is there any reason behind it?
Tiolu: It just isn't a major priority for me right now
Stage Voice: Alright that's cool... so what advice do you have for Part 1 students?
Tiolu DRA: Eh.. Focus on your school work I guess. Not everyone is meant to be in your life so pick and choose wisely. Associations are very key to success.
Also, keep your eyes on your goals. Don't get distracted and don't let anyone tell you you can't.
Stage Voice: Oshey wise woman
Tiolu: Abegg
Stage Voice: Thanks for sparing your time... It's really nice having you here
Tiolu: Thanks for having me
