This is Cinema Spices and baby you already know what we do here, if you don't, skurrrr recap, we look at Cinema/Blockbuster movies, the yays and nay's, the dos and don'ts. So this we're going to be looking at a Family that their name can never be erased from the fashion world. This family came not only to enhance our looks but they left us with some breathtaking, life-changing, evergreen lessons. Ladies and Gentlemen, let's do small Aproko in the Gucci family, let's talk about HOUSE OF GUCCI (you're supposed to be clapping)

SPOILER ALERT

House of Gucci is inspired by the shocking true story of the family behind the Italian fashion empire. When Patrizia Reggiani (Lady Gaga), an outsider from humble beginnings, marries into the Gucci family, her unbridled ambition begins to unravel the family legacy. 

Personally, I think when writing a replica of someone's biography, you could call it an adaptation but here, according to Ridley Scott, it was "Inspired by true events"  Haaaa!! Oga Ridley!! How true where the events in your script Sir? Originally, Aldo Gucci made Mauricio Gucci the President of the company at one time and Paolo Gucci the Vice President these were not in the movie script. Again Patricia Regianni had two daughters for Mauricio but the script should just one and a host of other important left-out details. Lol... I wonder why Ridley Scott has not been sued yet. 

Acting 

The first time I heard Lady Gaga has gone into movies I was should I say angry or indifferent like why won't she get a role? Is it not Lady Gaga? Una don come again. But purrrr I wasn't expecting what I saw in HOUSE OF GUCCI. First of I was watching out for a mix-up in her Italian accent cause she's originally British as well as the other actors but Mann, she was perfect. The only mix-up I noticed was Mauricio's (Adam Driver). Although he could go with the excuse that as a rich kid he must have attented some English lessons. 

Costumes

Okay, let's start from the "Costume Party" at the beginning. Why did they call that a Costume Party? Where were the Costumes? And again if you read the actual story of the Gucci family, Patricia was said have lived a luxurious life, looking all expensive and extra. I don't think she looked expensive or extra enough in the movie. She looked like a normal rich woman. Although the Costumers deserve a 5-star for their adequacy to the fashion of that time frame. And lol...where the hell did they get that TV where Patricia saw Pina (her soothsayer) for the first time? 

Suspension of Disbelief

I mean the movie is already a biography. With a lot of lessons to be learnt. A lot of if only this and if only that... Just listen to your parents. It sounds cliché yeah but a whole empire would have been saved if Mauricio had just listened.
