FYB OF THE WEEK

Stage Voice: Hi, I'm from Stage Voice. Can we meet you please?

Miide: Yeah, sure. The name's David, fellow creatives call me Miide.

Stage Voice: Can we know your date of birth please?

Miide: 20th of April.

Stage Voice: So tell us Miide, how has it been from your 100lvl days till now?

Miide: It's been a rollercoaster I won't lie! There were good and also bad days, picked up a couple of lessons by the way. In all, I thank God

Stage Voice: Can you share with  us some of the good days as well as the bad?

Miide: Don't think I can get into dets, but for what it's worth, I count everyday spent with friends and performing alongside them as good ones. And for the bad days, I do not want to talk about them, all a thing of the past now.

Stage Voice: Okayyyy. So why Acting?

Miide: You could say I was one of those kids that participated in church dramas at a very early age and was often times told these words "You would make a fine actor oo". Then as a curious person that I am, I googled what being an actor really meant, I loved the idea! Having to live the lives of numerous people, forgetting about your own existence for a while, it was thrilling!!! Still is.

Stage Voice: Wow! So how has been the experience so far?

Miide: It has been beautiful! Right from performing at the national theatre to studying and performing in this department! Omoooo! Bliss! The craft can only get better.

Stage Voice: Niceee. So what are your plans after school?

Miide: Plans after school eh, *chuckles. I've put things in motion, a couple of things have ensued too. Really can't wait to share

Stage Voice: Can you share some now? Pleaseeee!!!

Miide: Nahhh, for now, I can't. Y'all should just put me in your prayers.

Stage Voice: Lol....Sure. So is there anything you wish could be different about the Department?

Miide: Yes! Every sector needs to evolve! We can't keep doing what we've been doing for ages repetitively. The students are trying their best being innovative, but we all know what's holding us back...

Stage Voice: Hmmm. We sure do. So if you have a chance to go back in time and pick a University to study, would you pick OAU?

Miide: Hahaha. This university that is after my life, well yes, a hundred times over.

Stage Voice: Awww. Okay so who's the best person you had worked with here in the department?

Miide: Student or staff?

Stage Voice: Both

Miide: Staff - Mrs. Toyin Ogundeji

Student - The only man I'm engaged in a healthy competition with, Oyediran Ademola Dede

Stage Voice: Lol and who did you wish you had worked with?

Miide: Ori Ade 1....Ewa! Although we have shared screen together, we never really got the chance to share a stage.

Stage Voice: Hope you do someday.... Did you consider majoring in any other part of the Theatre at any point?

Miide: Yes, I did think about directing once upon a time

Stage Voice: Oh! Didn't see that coming.

Miide: Leemawu...

Stage Voice: Okay, this is out of the blue. What's your opinion about Tattoos?

Miide: Tattoos? I'm dead ass going to get one around my wrist! I consider it art

Stage Voice: Oh Wow..... So you are one of those that don't care about societal beliefs?

Miide: All a cage.

Stage Voice: Lol...okay. What would you love to be remembered for here in the department?

Miide: I can't say one thing in particular, but if I'm to be remembered, it should be for who I am, not for what I did

Stage Voice: Awwwwwwwwww. So people always say this "the Industry is a jungle". How true is this to you?

Miide: It is ooo! The industry is a really saturated one, was granted the opportunity to witness for myself last year when covid happened

Stage Voice: Do you mind sharing the experience?

Miide: The crowd at every audition I attended was enough for me to know. Hahaha

Stage Voice: If you got a chance to meet your eleven year old self again what advice are you going to give him

Miide: Just do you kiddo, there are no regrets

Stage Voice: Sorry for intruding but are you Single, Searching or Ready to Mingle?

Miide: I'm blessed with a beautiful woman in my life

Stage Voice: Chai ..God when???? Okayyyyy... Who would you like to give a shout-out to?

Miide: Hahaha! Shout out to my top dawgs! Shout out to the entirety of Loovus, La Confluenza , Grandeza and those in whom I am proud of, Sui Generis! Most importantly, Mi querida! ¡Te quiero! XOXO

Stage Voice: Aww. Sadly we have come to the end of your interview. It was really nice having you, we wish you all the best.

Miide: And may the odds be ever in our favor!

Stage Voice: Asé!!!!!!!!!
